Dove Fund
Household stability is the first step
I am so honored to have met great people that went above and beyond for me and my kids. They helped with rental assistance as well as a Walmart gift card. Along with some fun on James Island county park 😄 I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a good team of leadership. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate you all and God bless!!

The Dove Fund means hope. A place where you can feel a warmth and security that things will be okay.

Dove Fund picnic
Many Lowcountry families have no safety net, making it difficult to recover from the ordinary setbacks of life. We help families who are in transition following a crisis, such as illness, accident, loss of a home or even loss of a loved one.
Dove Fund assists clients who are actively trying to get back on their feet, stretching themselves to payoff back rent or power bills while raising kids and holding down a job. Our typical client is a single working mom with several young children. We dial in our time, money, and networking prowess to help motivated clients so that they can stabilize their household and carry on with their lives.
For example, $1,500 to keep a family from being evicted has more impact than $1,500 to pay a month's rent for someone who will immediately get behind again. We help those with a viable plan for moving forward. We offer the helping hand that will get them over the final hurdles.
Recently, a single mom of three in Hollywood faced imminent eviction. She had a steady office job, but an unexpected illness and resultant surgery had kept her homebound for months. Despite having recovered and returned to work, the mom lacked the earning power to pay her debt. Dove Fund kept them from being turned out on the street.
Sometimes a client needs a boost in order to reach an upward pivot. For example, a woman in North Charleston was in the process of becoming a first-time homeowner. Dove Fund assisted with a mortgage payment to give her a cushion to cover moving expenses and necessary household goods for her new home.
Because we are small, we are nimble and can offer myriad acts of service to clients, tailored to their unique needs. However, we do not take "walk ins". Dove Fund only works with folks who have been referred to us from trusted sources, including the Navigation Center, Catholic Charities, St. Vincent de Paul, and the City of North Charleston.
All donations to Dove Fund are tax-deductible, as we are a 501 (c) (3) organization.
We trust that God's ways are higher than our ways and we look to him with expectation to bring about what is best within his perfect wisdom.
